Wildlife Tours Orang Utan & Sun Bear Encounter Daytrip.

ORANG UTAN & SUN BEAR ENCOUNTER
Pickup from Sandakan Airport (before 0800hrs) or any hotel in Sandakan (between 0800-0815hrs) and depart
to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. We proceed to watch a video show about the plight of the Orang
Utans and the rehabilitation efforts ongoing at the Centre. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on
wooden boardwalks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 1000hrs then we continue to the newly
completed enclosed nursery area for young orang utans where we'll watch the young Orang-Utans at play.
Thereafter visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about conservation of the world’s smallest
bear, the Borneo Sun Bear. Along the way, your guide will share his insight and knowledge on the two critically
endangered species, including their habitats, habits and plight.
Proceed for lunch thereafter at the Sepilok Cafe (Lunch at own expense). After lunch, we depart at 1300hrs
to the airport for your 1430hrs flight back to Kota Kinabalu or alternatively to your overnight hotel in
Sandakan.
Note: Lunch is at own expense at the Sepilok Cafe that serves very reasonably priced meals ala carte.
Note on Camera Use at Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre:
For any camera with zoom lens from 100 to 400mm, video camera or other video recording equipment for
personal use are chargeable at RM10.00 per unit. For any camera (fixed-lens - 400mm and above) or any film-
making equipment are chargeable at RM1,000.00 per unit. Mode of payment is cash only.
